Grecobacker 4001 to 4000 conversion

So, I have this Grecobacker 4001-style that I fancy doing a 4000 conversion, just for the hell of it. I already have the 4000-style 'plate ( same size and holes match as the one fitted), but need the solid shaft pots. I'm torn between 500K and 250K for the tone pot. The rear pup is a Jason Lollar magnetic horsie. That pickup currently has 250/250. I think I'll fit both, and see which one I prefer.

I will, of course, be keeping the two-pup circuit and 'plate.

The only proper option is to build a complete 4000 copy from scratch, and send this one to me for disposal!

I do Love me a 4000, but the ultimate reason I sold 2 of them was because of the lack of a neck pickup.
My very first 4000 was a neck through 72 that had an added toaster. I'd like to think I would still have that bass if the guy I bought it from hadn't begged me to sell it back to him. It was pretty much perfect for me, even though I couldn't blend the pickups.
Of course your mods would be completely reversible, so why not check it out?
By the way, I love your Grecobacker, and have lusted after it for many years.

Yeh, this is the one with the Lollar horsie in it. The front pup is Korean. I got a hard time from a few purists for selling on the original pups, and, yes, I now know I should have kept them.

I doubt I'll sell her, but if I decide to do so, I'll give you first shout!
