I would be curious who is paying the taxes on the cab.
I was a little curious about this too. The website mentions VAT taxes for European transactions, but doesn't mention US taxes. I'm sure an email would clear that up.
Of course buying used is a great way to avoid those taxes, but finding a 2x12 of either is hard, finding someone that wants to ship a cab is even harder. There are some 2x115 and 2x112 GBs for sale, but for the same bang as a 212, two 112s of either are very expensive. Seems like a waste.

Since the original post date of this thread I have added a Super Compact to my collection.

Anyone have one of Duke's cabs I could borrow for comparison? ;)

Cheers!

Yeah. That "generally less than a week if it's in stock" shipping time is awful ;)

When Barefaced ships from Brighton England, it is on your doorstep in the USA in 24 hours. Really.

The import tax from UK for this type of item is about 5% so a $1499 BT will be about $75. As monsterthompson said, you'll get a bill from Fedex about 3-4 weeks after your cab ships, for the import tariff.

The hell??

We Europeans pay a fortune to import stuff from the US. Unfair! :/

Hey @bordinco90 ...
I don't have experience with the other cabs listed, but my F210 is absolutely fantastic. The one on the right..

To me, easily as loud as a 410
No experience with Markbass, but with my Mesa D800 it's crazy wonderful. About 50 lbs, easy carry. It's a 4 ohms cab, so it would take all of your 800watts and love it.
Even did an outdoor gig, of course with PA support, and there was plenty of stage volume for the band
Where is the handle on the F210? Do you find you can carry it with one hand?

Im n a super cab hunt.. Which of these two do you prefer?

I'm a very happy owner of an F112. I wasn't happy with any micro amp pushing 400-500 watts @ 4 ohm thru it until my Ampeg SVP/CL+SVP-1600 which pushes 900 @ 4 ohms. I don't think it "replaced" my 4x10 in volume, but it gets ridiculously load for its size and I have not lacked any volume, feel, gut kick, etc. with a loud 4 piece playing classic rock, blues and country. My SVT-II sounds amazing through it too. I also own a F212 that just sits around not getting any play since I took the delivery of the F112 :rollno:. Just sayin....

I haven't tried the Bass Arrays.. My friend got one and Im going to meet up with him next week.
I love what i have BUT i want to expand.. I want to get a simple old cheap 410 like a sealed ampeg 410HE.. Keep what i currently have but also get a super cab too, Different strokes for different days or moods.. hahah

An F112 has my interest too.. Not sure if one would do a complete job.

From what I know of what you do, I'd think one of the Hathors from Duke would work best for you. I know you love your Genzler Magellan... have you tried the Bass Arrays?

Simple. Get a Barefaced Four 10. That way you get a super cab that is also tuned to respond like a sealed cab. Best Four 10 I have ever owned by a country mile, and I have owned several over the years.

Care to share your thoughts on the Super? I assume you bought it for a more old school sound (?) Do you still have the BB2?

Although I no longer own the Super Compact, my thoughts on it are the same as in my NCD review --> NCD: Barefaced SC + BB2

I do still own the BB2 since it does double-duty as both the SC and BB2 with a full turn of the rear knob.

Cheers!
