I just hooked up the 4 millennia TD-1s actually I only hooked up 1 so far...

WOW! the millennia stuff is NO joke! that is for sure...

I’ll get my thoughts together on giving the details of how much i LOVE the millennia TD-1s and more info and pics early next week!

Gregory : What is your main purpose when you put together a bass rig like that ??

Is it an even hifi sound, or more of a bass sound, you're going after - or maybe the question should be, are you taking a PA approach or a bass approach when you choose amps and spearkers ??

I wanted to have different effects in each Rig...

Inspired by bootsy collins...

I am very interested in playing in sort of pseudo surround sound by way of effects...

Eventually I will add another pair of echoplexes so that everything is in fours except the effects themselves like my pigtronix into one rig, my EH bass micro synth into another, then the EBS pedals into two rigs stereo...

With them all synced up I hope for my solo looping shows too literally sound like a quartet if your eyes are closed...

so you are having the same basic sound from all 4 cabs then adding different efx to them?
impressive rig!

for the most part yes... the effects are what change the tone... but having a separate high quality pre for each rig allows me to tailor the tone for the effects going in as well...

so say one cab for example has a lead guitar santana esqu tone...

I’ll use the tube function of the TD-1 and adjust the EQ to sound very much like santana...

(just for example)

another cab for example may simply have an EBS octabass... that pre will probably be set as solid state, and have the eq adjusted to get the most out of that sound...

etc...

my friend Scott Hubbell had the idea of me using a DIFFERENT pre in each rig...

But I thought then... I would not be able to get the same sound in each cab if ever needed...

So the TD-1s definitely provide the versatility of each rig sounding very different from one another, OR getting as close as possible to sounding exactly the same…

ok, sounds just right.
i´ve been using 2 or 3 amps together (from time to time)or switching between them for some years. the thing is that i lately have come to the point were i have the same basic sound on both, but having for instance one of them distortet for the most time.
i found myself trying to get my 3 amps to get one special sound.
(one valve, hybrid and a solidstate.)
it seems like the right thing to have the same pre for all rigs.
i don´t know how many times i´ve thought about either i would use the Ampeg for clean or overdriven or maybe put the pedals through the SWR instead and so on.

thanx for the info

now the problem is which amp i should start collecting as i like all 3 in their own way HA HA. :eyebrow:

I wish my cabs would put out :(.

Awesome rig, sound clips? :0

no sound clips of the rig at this time...

I just don't know how I could get a sound sample of a 4 way rig, into a stereo mp3 sample, but give me some time and I will try to get it across in audio...
