I'll be down there with my Alleva Coppolo and my upright that weekend, playing with the Texas Army National Guard Band. I have to work and gig pretty much every night, but hopefully I can make it to at least one hang.
well....we will get free run of Bass Emporium for a while and then Ed Friedland will give us a clinic and maybe teach these old fingers a new lick or two!!!
then - we get Pizza and beverages compliments of Bass Emporium and the Lakland Owner's Group....and get to hang around and talk bass, play basses etc.
there will also be a few giveaways!!!
all in all a good time!
we would also like to go somewhere afterwards for some music and adult (or not) beverages....
all for free....how does that happen????
Folks, if you haven't caught it, the schedule of events for Saturday is in the thread linked in the OP, as well as post #21 of this thread. I'm booking my flight/hotel this weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing you all there! We are in the process of planning a GTG in Austin Texas March 26th and 27th 2010....
We are planning on having Ed Friedland give a clinic and are beginning to plan some other "outings" to local food and music establishments......
Even if you are not local, plan on coming....especially if you live in a snowy climate!!!
