ive always wanted to do this. i recorded three sort samples of one of my basses, and i want you to say what kind of bass you think it might be, and the dollar value of the bass.
the samples were recorded by plugging an instrument cable into the "tuner out" of a markbass SD800, and the other end plugged into the mic input of a yamaha pocketrak.
not a "normal" way to record a sample, but its the best way to get a clean representation of the insturment itself..keep in mind this not recorded in a "studio" with a sick DI. it was a cable into a portable digital recorder, recording as an MP3..
bass is strung with brand new S.I.T. rock brights.

sample one, bridge pickup soloed. sample two is both pickups, and sample three is the neck pickup soloed.
