Guild Pilot bass club?

I think it would probably do the trick. Or, you know, buy a gold Kramer branded Schaller on eBay and spray paint it black, but who would do such a thing?

Some say he strings his bass ADGE and that he replaced his worn out neck with a new one made from 1000 ice-cream sticks glued together because he thinks that it sweetens his sound...

All we know is he's called InkCow.

Look at that, I found the Pilot Club. Now I just need to find a Pilot like the one I got rid of years ago.

Anybody happen to have a red DeArmond 5 string hanging around that needs a home? LOLOL

Just in case you do not know, the DeArmond "Pilots" are not "real" Pilots - they are indonesian replicas with inferior hardware and completely different pup and control setups...If you are looking for a genuine, (red) 5 string US-made Guild Pilot bass, they are not too hard to find at reasonable prices...I happen to own a red 5 string (but I am in Europe) and I know of another red 5 string for sale but it is in the UK...

If I remember correctly, @RyanOh has a very nice 5 string Pilot he might like to sell...?

Stick around here and keep your eyes open on the various (bass guitar) buy & sell medias and you'll have a 5 string Pilot before you know it...

Well aware. I've played a few Guilds and loved them. My only desire for a DeArmond is that of Nostalgia. My pops bought me one as my "first real bass" back in high school. At some point it took a nose dive and split the headstock in half and I got it repaired and traded it off.

Ahhh, okay - so I can completely understand your wish now...;) Good Luck with your search...!

I don’t know where you’re located, but there’s a red 5 string DeArmond Pilot parts bass in the North Atlanta exurbs (Acworth) on FB Marketplace for $125 which I would be all over if I didn’t already have a 5 string that I’m really happy with.

I'm in Houston but I might go check that out. Any chance you'd be willing to be a middle man for a middle man fee?
