Exclusively fingerstyle for decades, but eventually realized I should expand into pickstyle as well. I bought a gross of Fender 1.12 picks on sale thinking that bassists needed to play with heavy picks, but they didn't have the snap I was looking for. After experimentation I finally settled on 0.73. I don't own a guitar.I don't play much guitar. But when I do, I usually use .50's, whereas I use .73's with bass.
I like picks that bend just a little, and I feel like .73's have too much "pushing power" on guitar. But it's perfect for bass.
Curious to see what you other folks do.
I use a Delrin Dunlop .46. Its very "bendy" that's why I use them. Maybe you would like them.Played bass with a pick (or... plectrum) when I started decades ago.
Now (last 10 years) I can't stand the feel. Tried to persevere for a bit with an alternative rock/indie band. Found a fairly bendy .8 least annoying. That stopped so it's fingers only.
Don't play guitar.
