So, since I'm spending too much time here today already, I don't usually like to brag here unless it's informative but I'll make an exception. 2007 Fodera Custom Emperor Elite 5, one of only a few they ever made with Osage orange wood on the top, that's walnut on the back, Headed my way once off police hold:

That's tough to say, Fodera couldn't give me a quote on the price of Osage orange since they only made a few. The only other one I've found is a 2011 that got converted to fretless in 2013 and sold last year in the TB classifieds for 9k
Yeah, a fixer-upper, but if you can fix the minor issues (assuming they are minor), it's a steal.
I've dealt with stripped truss rod nuts in a Warwick twice, both from GC of course, one was simply a matter of unscrewing and replacing, the other unfortunately was from the range of years that you have to take the fingerboard off to replace. Potential buyers need to find out the year and call Warwick NYC before wasting time on it.
The preamp probably just needs a new battery, that's what I see 90% of the time from GC when the preamp "has issues".
I've fried MEC preamps before, they are fragile as hell. But yeah, it's probably a battery or a loose wire.
As for the truss, if it's just a stripped nut, do you still have to remove the fingerboard?

Well that's what I'm trying to say, if you check the year and check with Warwick you can find out if it was during the period where you have to remove the board, they have had at least three different truss systems over the years.
USA Ken Smith BSRJ-4 mislabeled as a Burner--$1199. I think this qualifies as a screaming deal.

This bass, and especially in this color, is turning out to be one of the rarest Fenders ever produced. A great little bass that they sold for a very short period of time and then immediately took off the market. The white ones went really fast. I briefly owned a red one and it was really cool, but the body is smaller and I couldn't get used to that. A lot of people complained about only having 18 frets but it didn't bother me.
They're Chinese. Still excellent. The modern player line is all Chinese made and all very well built.
I disagree. I tried out one at GC which I loved, but when I bought a different one online I got a lemon.
The one I tried out was white & they wouldn't drop the price. The one I bought, w/o seeing it first, was 3 tone burst with a better price.
The one that showed up at my house had those blade style pickups, not real humbuckers, hidden under a faceplate to make it look like it had pole pieces. I couldn't adjust the neck far enough. I can't remember which direction I wanted to go now, but it hit the stop & wouldn't go any further. I left it overnight & it still hadn't reached any further, so I returned it.
It had one of those truss rods you adjust at the heel. I didn't like the way it sounded anyway.
I've had my fair share of disappointment with Chinese products in the past, so that was just the cherry on top for me.
Whatever bass you're talking about isn't this one. This is the modern player short scale jazz bass, though it has pj pickups. It's Chinese made and has the truss adjustment at the nut. It came only in white and red.
