This isn't necessarily a hot deal cuz I don't know what a good vintage price is and it might have already sold and I couldn't play it when I saw it because I couldn't find a single employee to get it off the wall for me, but I find it amusing that they're calling a 77 an "American Standard".

The jokers at GC in Richmond, VA have put the GK amp back on sale that I returned last night.

It's got a really horrible sound, probably at least one failed tube, but there it is for sale again today.
I would bet money they didn't fix it.

did you write them a note about the problem? a received a Peavey amp from Amazon with intermittent distortion which was an obvious "Return" back to them. the ugly repackaging was a dead giveaway!
after reading the rant i sent them, i doubt they ever sent that particular unit out again!
No, and the guy who refunded my money didn't even ask what the problem was.
The bass player who usually deals with me did ask afterwards. He was busy when I arrived.
I told him the symptoms & he said the same thing I suspected, that it's got a bad tube.
This is also the same guy who leaves their all tube SVT on all the time, and wonders why it has to be serviced repeatedly.

Returned to Richmond VA yesterday. Very beat up, truss maxed and action medium at best, electronics noisy...incomplete grounding probably since you can't get the volume to be completely off.
I might see it there later today. I'm considering driving over to Richmond in the early evening.
Also returned an SWR Mobass that's synth section doesn't work. The guy didn't write anything down, I'd imagine they're both back for sale...
Yeah, they truly DGAF. I wish I could put a warning label on the MB500 Fusion I returned there last week. That thing has a problem.
Looks interesting. MIJ. No pickguard holes. Were they filled in? Badass 2 and some kind of preamp. Could be awesome.
