I grabbed that Black Label Jazz from Albany on Sunday. It's awesome. Sets up nice and low. Fender Lace Sensors. Love it. And... I traded in that Red Bronco. That's a humbucker from a Korean Epi Les Paul. Sounds killer. Also has Dunlop Strap Lock Buttons. Set up real low, as well. Daughter grew out of it and now is the proud owner of the Black Label MIJ Jazz!

Anyway...I called to buy it. Salesman A said it's in great shape and sounds phenomenal. Said he had to call me back. He didn't.

I called back and salesman B answered. I told him I called earlier about the fretless and he said "oh ya bro, that ones dead. Busted electronics."

If the bass is good otherwise, I wouldn't worry about bad electronics. On a budget you can drop in one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/111356000861

They are cheap but they sound good. I have them in 2 basses.

GC in Carle Place NY has a blue classic vibe p with a basslines pickup for $250. Sounded good but I could barely play it with the thickest lacquer I've ever seen on the back of the neck, but that's obviously how it comes.

Damn you chuck norriss. I kinda want it. I wasn't impressed with 3 of the 5 available settings on the one I played, but $250 ain't bad.

Luckily it's on police hold till 6/13. No new bass for me today.
