Not exactly a "hot deal", but a pretty good price on a fairly rare MIJ Boxer bass available from the Dayton store.
Like a Jazz Bass Special, except it's a straight Precision pup with V-T control.
Looks to be in really good shape. I'd grab it, but I'm MIJ'd out at the moment.

It's got two stars which isn't a good sign. It very well might be infested with termites or something otherwise terrible, but still worth looking into.

^ those are pretty rare, it doesnt look shabby in the photo but with GC 2 stars could me the neck is toast or some BS.
Yah we all know GC tends to rate things way higher then they should be so a 2 rating from them probably means there are some serious issues going on.
Or could be that the bass suffered from heavy buckle rash.

i'll actually be working around the area Monday and Tuesday, so if its still there, i'll check it out.
I was in the Queens NY store. They had a peavey palladium for $350. I don't know if that's a good price but it was in great shape and played really well. What I think was the pickup selector knob was scratchy and the tone control didn't seem to do anything but it sounded really good. Had a badass two bridge, an ebony fretboard and it was really light. 7 pounds tops. I might have bought it if it didn't have all gold hardware.
They also had one of those 15 pound ovation magnums for $650. I don't know if that's a good price either but it was in the best condition I've ever seen one of those.

I stopped by the Towson. MD GC... they have a 2008 Sadowsky NYC 4 string in nice condition, not sure why they don't have it listed as a lined fretless. They also have a 1980 Alembic Series II with some cracks in the volute area (near the headstock).

I was keeping the listing to myself as I had thought I would grab it, but GC Pittsburgh has a Squier Standard PJ for $119. That's about normal for those, except this one has been upgraded with a set of Seymour Duncan Basslines pickups. Good project platform, or if you have the inclination, swap out the pups with a cheaper set of your own and list it locally for $140 or whatever the bass will have cost you = free pickups. Alternately, part it out: the necks alone sell here for $100ish, the body $60 and the pups $80.
The first 3 pages of used.guitarcenter.com is almost all acoustics right now.
