My dad has this guitar out in the garage, It's been painted or something. I'm not sure if he even knows what happened to it. I don't know the story behind it, I know nothing. I want to make it playable again, therefore, I need to know things about it. It has no decal on the headstock.

that's what I thinking, but I looked all over their website, and I couldn't find anything like it. It's from the 60's I think. He's left handed, and the wooden bridge looks like it's flipped around.
Whoa, that sure is "different," but I dig it, and I know I've seen that headstock before, its one of those things that sticks in your mind.

I know what you mean, man. I was around 8 years old when I told him it was a harmony. I knew I had seen that headstock before...
I don't know what happened to the body, but it looks cool. The neck was painted white, and i was thinking about sanding the paint off, but it just looks so cool that way, you just don't want to change it. Same thing with the body. I don't want to paint it! The pick guard with the knobs had me thinking it was a Ric, but I looked and nothing. and three screws for the neck?
The coolest thing about it is that both pickups work.

It's a Kay. Could have been branded Kay, or Silvertone, or possibly something else. There are many variants of these. It's from the time where they were starting to use Japanese parts and then transitioned into Japanese made instruments.
