Well our mysteriously vanishing guitar player reappeared! I just got an e-mail from him explaining the situation. It seems he had to deal with a personal problem.
I don't fault him for getting himself into a "situation", but I do blame him for not letting us know. The mature thing to do is to tell us (or at least the leader) that he has something to deal with and won't be able to practice / play for a while.
Heck how would your work feel if you just did not show up for 3-1/2 weeks? On the other hand if you explained that you needed time off for personal matters you would probably get it and keep your job when you came back.
I am beginning to get the sense that this guy has more than his share of drama in his life. I just hope that we all don't get caught up in it.
I don't know at this point whether our leader will keep him or not.
Stay tuned!
