My son, on bass, and my 5-year-old grandson, on guitar, playing in church. 
I encouraged my son to play guitar when he was young, but it didn't seem to take, back then. Later, as an adult, he supplemented his income as a guitarist with a very popular, and professional, local band! He still occasionally hangs with those bandmates and reminisces with them, but you-know-what broke up that old gang of his. He only took up bass in the past few years to help his church.
The grandson doesn't really "do" chords, yet. But he's got the strumming and stage comportment, not to mention "moves like Jagger", down pat after a couple of years of this "fake it 'til you make it" exercise.

Celebrating a year in with this guitar, I reckon I've put in around 450 hours or so on it by now. I built a new cab specifically for it and intend to do an acoustic guitar amp or two sometime this year, but my general purpose DIY rack amp works great and GAS is mild at best. This is my primary acoustic guitar centric EQ pedal, optimized for use with pre existing onboard preamps, but I have a few more that work similarly with this guitar and are great for BG or URB too. I love showing up at open mics and just plugging one pedal straight to FOH, and done!

I picked up a Squier bullet Strat with the intention of modding for HH. But twas only routed HSS so I kept that one as is…
And ended up modding my Debut for HH. (idk if I posted that one here, but it’s shockingly good for the money.)

NGD Squier Bullet HSS
So much for no new guitars in 2025! 😄 Saw this at the local shop. Priced at 150 so not exactly a steal for a Bullet- but I really like the neck and pickups, especially the bridge. So for the money it seemed like a great platform for mods. Previous owner dropped in these “Alnico V” stamped...

New guitar mod day: HH Strat!
I picked up a Squier Bullet HSS with the intention of modding it for HH pickups. But after opening up the pickguard, hearing a sad trombone and seeing it routed for only HSS, I had to think a minute… But fear not! My Squier Debut was routed for HSH! I grabbed some “Amazon special” parts...

thanks! i also like how it's a similar color to my bass. i have a buttercream p bass and olympic white strat, so it's similar but different
