This came in yesterday, currently on sale at GC for $250:

Spent about three hours getting through the expected learning curve, mainly concentrating on patch editing and archiving for now. A local friend has the older Spark 40 and we'll be doing A/B testing very soon, maybe this afternoon. I liked the 40 a lot, but the Spark 2 is quite a bit more feature rich.

Nothing like a new rabbit hole...:roflmao:

I had the black face version for a while. Then I bought a Vibrolux, which I preferred. So I traded in the Deluxe Reverb for a Twin Tone Master. I still have the Vibrolux and the Tone Master.

I modded my oddball Fender 30 (just pre-Rivera era channel switcher) to Vibrolux Reverb specs, it was a great amp that served me well for many years:

Meanwhile, I started trying pedals in front of the Spark 2 yesterday. This so called Dumble-In-a-box clone using a Pedal PCB board is big fun in front of all the amp models I'm currently concentrating on:

And then for my acoustic this looks like the winner for the moment:

There are some nice, new toys here that some of you bought.

Well, I got jealous, and bought a new toy myself: A Boss MD-200 modulation pedal.

As you know, I bought a Cordoba Stage guitar, which is a nylon string electric.

The sound is fantastic! :hyper:

I also have had a Boss Flanger for a long time, but I never warmed up to it on bass, so in the drawer it sat for years.

Then, I tried it with the Cordoba.

Nylon string guitars I don't think are known for being run through pedals, but used sparingly, a flanger is like a super reverb; it sounds great!

So, as happy as I was with the flanger, I wanted more, so I researched and bought the Boss MD-200.

I've only had it a few days, but it also sounds fantastic!

I can't give an honest review yet, as I'm not familiar with it yet.

It has 12 effects, and you can adjust them very precisely.

So, I'll give a review after I use it more, but, I is happy!

Mike
P.S. Picture to follow.

Yeah, quite an understatement actually. My Heritage came to me with a broken headstock and has always been a bit wonky on tuning stability and intonation, which I mostly just accepted as part of the very modest trade deal I got it on. But I kept chipping away at it over the years from time to time, losing the roller bridge and fine tuner tailpiece, EMG pickups and preamp, going to a heavier string set, and so on. While fine tuning the nut setup I revisited the Tone Pros bridge install I did two years ago, and realized that it was oriented backwards. Still intonated fairly well, but it affected break angle and maybe a few other things, and when I flipped it there was a major lightbulb moment. I had been looking around for a set of US made black Grover mini tuners, as that was more or less the last thing I could try, but now the guitar is dead stable and tunes very smoothly, so I'm going to leave it alone. I still have some wiring tweaks in mind, but that's true of everything I own, pretty much... :roflmao:

Today is a New Guitar Parts Day.
or maybe Guitar apart day.
a friend is moving and downsizing, and offered me the body and neck, so I accepted
It has all electronics, and most of the hardware, so a bit of a project.
it’s a cheap guitar, but the neck is in good shape.
could be fun.
if it’s not, I am really only out some time.

And nice grain on the fretboard.

It needs some cleaning, but I’ve got stuff for that.
As far as hardware and electronics and that kind of stuff, I have most of that.
Might get a few things, but none of it is pricey.
Biggest expense could be a new nut and a base for the bridge, but I have some options there that will help.

Nice, I especially like the reso.
It's a Gold Tone Dojo, with stereo output for piezo and magnetic pickups. The piezo element is on the resonator assembly and doesn't make much bass noise at all, so you can do quite a few cool things with blending or dual amping. I've done a few DIY pedals to leverage that, for instance:

TRS in, full EQ set on mag pickup, just resonant LPF ("filter preamp") on piezo pickup, then blend to mono output. I have another one with an EFX loop, I'll probably do a full blown DI output on the next one too.
