Here's a bar-gig clip from 30 years ago with me on guitar - a '95 335 I'd just picked up the weekend prior, through a '67 Super Reverb by way of an early '80s Tube Screamer.

Recording & mixing quality turned out good for a 4-track Tascam cassette recorder with 3 condenser mics thrown around the stage and a feed from the vocal PA:

it's like sleeping over in your old bedroom at your folk's house, or reconnecting with a long lost childhood friend... I've owned this 1968 Guild Starfire V since the early 90s and it was my Grandfather's before that from purchase as NOS from a Mom & Pop music shop in Bergen County NJ in 1970-71

Not only is it my birth year, but the serial number puts it built somewhere from mid March to early April... I was born on St Paddy's.

it's got Vlatko Stefanovski sig strings from TI on it... and it is exactly what a guitar should be in my mind.

played thru an Analog.man Beano Boost and King of Tone into a Fender Deluxe Reverb is how a guitar should sound for me too :bassist:

I originally started out on guitar.
But quickly was won over to bass.
During my bass owning years,I would occasionally buy a guitar and putter around on it for a time before selling it off and returning to bass.
Here's my recent acquisition.
In keeping with my trend of extended range basses,I bought a Jackson X Series Dinky Arch Top DKAF8 MS 8 string guitar.

For some reason it feels weird that Fender makes a fanned fret guitar.
