I got bad news... the fingerboard and strings of any guitar or bass are, in general, far nastier than a clean toilet seat.
Not to mention your phone and computer keyboard. They contain way more more nasties than your toilet seat. If that worries you, DON’T GO TO A SUPERMARKET! The shopping cart handles would freak you out totally if you could see the handles under a microscope. Then lets’s see - door handles, bannisters, steering wheels, even kitchen cutting boards are chock full - we actually have immune systems to deal with this stuff and if we didn’t have a hygeine obsession we’d no longer be killing off the good bacteria that help our immune systems and digestive systems remain strong.
Asthma and food allergies are dramatically increasing because we are killing the good ones that help us. Sorry if I’m being too real in a humour thread.

Am uncle related how Clapton told him he and Mayall recorded a track in a public toilet in London as it had a great ambience. Maybe this is an homage.

I presume my uncle's story is correct. He knew John Mayall well enough to borrow his gear on occasion. If he'd stuck around maybe it wouldn't have been Fleetwood Mac, but it wouldn't really have worked with my uncle's last name but it could have been worse!
