Guitar Straps and Locks

Lately, I have been using Italia Leather Straps 4" for my basses (2.5" for my guitars). I've also continued to use Dunlop Straploks (brass, black, or silver, depending on the cosmetics of the axe) for any bass that gives me concern for dropping and/or a strap coming loose.

Whats everyone else doing these days?

I'm being a bit selfish as I have a couple of new basses that need to be dressed up before making a public appearance and I don't want them to be embarrassed in front of the other instruments :)

Dino, I have Dunlop on all my basses. There are reports of Schaller users twisting their straps and losing the connection. I used them for a very short time and never had a problem. Just prefer the Dunlop design.

Guild XL Ballglove leather strap with Grolsch flip top beer bottle cap seals as straplocks, but I'm fat and cheap.

In all seriousness, I used Schaller straplok years ago, I was better off without locks as the strap stayed on better without them. Danged screw kept coming out after I did the straplock. I ended up having to drill and dowel fill the hole to get the straplock secure. That was on a 2002 Squier PJ bass, I think it had a basswood body... I used maple dowel and titebond III to fill
