Well, both the guitar and bass parts were similar, with all the tapping and same licks and all. But yeah, you can see paul gilbert isn't a bassist.
As we've said in numerous threads here, good guitarists can play the bass, but in a guitar-oriented way.
People there seemed to enjoy it and that's what matters at the end
