Guitarport or Pandora?

Was getting ready to purchase Korg's Pandora because I was looking for a practice tool where I could play along with MP3's. But then I thought that there could be a way to utilize my laptop and so I thought of Guitarport and rifftracker since I could then record as well. I did a search but didn't see much info here so I thought I'd ask:

Can bass lines be removed from an MP3 using guitarport and rifftracker?

Can you play along (on bass) with MP3's using guitarport?

thanks

help I don't know what to buy!

I'm thinking I could get so much more out of Guitarport with rifftracker than the Pandora, but the Pandora says it removes bass lines from the track. But I'm doubting how well that works.

I went to guitarcenter and they didn't even have the ability to let me try the Pandora out. They don't carry the power supply and they don't have one set up ready to sample.

If the bass canceller function isn't really all that I'd rather go with Guitarport since I could then do recording.
