guys, don't try this at home

Many years ago, when microwaves first came out (and dinosaurs roamed freely), I tried hard boiling an egg in our microwave.

Put the egg in a little plastic bowl, filled it with water, popped it in the microwave for about 5 minutes, then let it sit and cool off.

Picked up the egg, tapped it with a spoon...

...and my wife and I spent the next few hours cleaning up tiny bits of egg all over our kitchen. And my clothes. And my hair.

And I had to buy new shorts.

What happened? I don't get it.

Back in the day, when I was interested in martial arts, I decided to try out a *kite kick. I hit my face with my knee. Yes, I literally kneed my face right in the middle of the nose.:scowl:

TWICE!

:o:bawl::atoz:

:D

I don't know if kite kick's the correct term. It's the kind of kick where you jump, lift one knee up, and throw a kick to the front with the other foot.

Another one came to mind.

It was my first week with my new mountain bike after the good ol' BMX.

There was this spot where we used to speed up and lock the rear tire with the break and slide for meters like that.

I speed up, get to the location, grab the rear break handle and apply pressure on it like there's no tomorrow only to remember BMXs and mountain bikes have reversed placement of breaks.

Front tire locks, my family jewels become one with the bike, bike flies over top of my head, I land on my face. I don't think I felt anything on my face, I still remember the pain on the jewels. Like they were torn apart and thousands of marbles were scattering across the street from inside.

I laid there for a good 30 minutes.:atoz:

*Addressing above post**
Motorcycles and bicycles typically have reversed brake levers(bicycle: front-left/rear-right; MC:front-right/rear-right foot pedal). Every road & MTB as well as BMX bike I ever owned was this way. Some longtime MC riders reverse their bicycles' brake levers so front is right as on MC.

Edit: have not smacked nads yet, but the day is young

I almost broke my nose with a drumstick once. I had my eyes closed and SOMEHOW I came down with the stick across the bridge of my nose.

I've never done this, but what I HAVE done is tried to roll up a gtr or XLR cable and get to the end of the cable and whacked myself right on the nut as the connector whipped around. That is always agony and Karma ALWAYS looks out for that one. Whoever laughs hardest is the next one to get whacked in the nads with a cable or get his hand pinched in a mic stand!!!

Last time I was putting on a performance in the shower, I slipped and bashed my knee against the side of the tub on my way down.

It was kind of like this Kerry Skarbakka photo.

I once fell asleep laying on my arm and it went numb. I rolled off of it and tried to roll to the other side when I realized it was so "asleep" that it was just dead weight. I turned to the other side and tried to fling my arm over my chest. it arched perfectly until it got perpendicular to the bed, where it stopped swinging as my elbow bent and I managed to punch myself in the face.

O.o how was that photo even taken?

Not sure about that one in particular, but he uses ropes and harnesses to hold himself in position and tries to hide them behind his body or something else as best he can, but if he can't fully hide the rigging, he photoshops it out of the picture.

Epic! ;)

Playing volleyball, went up for a huge hit, was too eager, and took a huge swing. I missed the ball and my follow-through was off (because I missed the ball) and my fist went full speed into my balls...

Almost sent myself to the bench, and this was just a couple weeks ago...

Was in a volleyball game at a backyard party of some friends of my girlfriend. I didn't know anybody. It was night. I saw the ball coming towards me and looked up at it as it's trajectory crossed right in front of a bright backyard light fixture which blinded me. I stood there hoping my sight would return before I stopped the ball with my face. No such luck.

A few years ago I was messing around at the park with a couple of friends, they launched a pinecone that hit me square in the balls.

Bought a guitar recently on craigslist, short strap, threw in on, bottom edge of the body landed on my crotch.
