Had a stroke

The strok well, im still in wheelchair still have a right hand that is worthless (my plucking hand) can’t spit out toothpaste without making a mess. You name it. I probably had it. Lol. The two month coma I was in should have killed me! Just like a movie it all started with a wiggle of the finger. Thing are looking good though. Great therope goes a long way and the people here are all awesome. Family, friends, all make the stay a little more shorter and a bit more tolerable. The thing I’m looking forward to the most is they will be taking out my tachometry soon and that means real food! I’ll be walking again, or I hope so, but that will be longer then I thought. Everything is so up in the air right now. All I can say thank God for my brother. He has help in so many ways!

Right now I’ll just do some lurking (like I haven’t). Maybe do some posting. Just take a good look around. Good place, good people. No doubt why this is first place I thought of.

That, I have to say, is an inspiring message. Back from the brink, you might say. Keep on getting better. I'm looking forward to seeing you chew people out in some flaming post wars as soon as you're up to it!

Oh my God! Wow, I am so sorry to hear this. I am glad you are on the mend, and commend and appreciate your candor about all this, I can't imagine it's easy. I am really happy to see you back on here...

Great to see you Chunk!
I had two stokes (hole in my heart, didn't know), didn't recognize the first @28, the Second @ 33 killed me for a minute or so, thankfully no coma or easily noticable physical issues for me. That was 7 years ago.


Recovery is a lot like learning bass, somethings will come back easy and with out much work, others you'll work your As* off and and wonder if your making progress.... and then one day it clicks and its there and yet other things you may never capture but you still need to work on. The good part is you have the chance. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers

Sorry to hear it Chunk, but it's great that you've come so far from where you were- that's gotta be scary as hell.

Chunk's a great guy for anyone that's never met him, and one of the few TBers that I'm taller than :)
