Hadean 5 string

I recently bought this bass used off C.L. for $100. It is quite well made and after a mild fret dress, first and second frets were too low due to a poor board plane at the factory, it plays very nice.
The question is: How would a person go about getting more thump out of a 34" scale bass. I play a lot of country and western swing. I love the sustain for ballads but I miss the thump of my shorter scale Westone Steinberger copy which I converted to a B bass. I like the westone but miss the high G so I bought the Hadean. I've played a couple of gigs with the Hadean and I like it but miss the thump.
any solution?:0)
