I just discovered a teaser of the upcoming Hadrien Feraud new cd, and I dig it ! I can't wait !

I just listened to pieces of every song on Amazon. Got to say, I could not hate it more. Hopefully it's better than the clips suggest but I may never find out as I don't think I can buy it without hearing it first.

Some Steely Dan vibes and sounds like a very well produced, well written, and well executed effort. I'll get a copy!

The bass playing is good, but I dont think I could listen much to the vocals. They are not bad, just seem a bit tiresome and dated to me. If there were a version of instrumental tracks only, I would buy it.

Since your posting that comment, I've been trying to hear ANY of your music, of your bass playing, etc...
Please, don't be shy and let us hear your music, your musical ideas with your PERSONAL and musically expressed antonyms of the word, "AWFUL."

Also, just between us - the AMATEUR bass players - discussing the "AWFULNESS" of the MOST ADVANCED BASS PLAYER IN THE WORLD whose Music inspires THOUSANDS of THOUSANDS of bass players ALL OVER THE WORLD, please tell me one thing:

Do you know what it takes to achieve that "Hadrian's so much technique and aptitude?"
From your comment, it seems SO EASY TO ACHIEVE IT.

P.S. And, please, don't forget to include some of your personally-played musical videos, clips, excerpts to further your point about that "Hadrien's AWFULNESS".

I just bought the cd, one because instead of criticizing amazing musicians, we should at least just appreciate that they create good music, and two because if you just listen to the musicality/musicianship (which is not shredding, but listening/reacting/responding to the other musicians), it's amazing. I'll learn tons from listening to this over and over.

And for further appreciation, people should check out this podcast, (its as good as No guitar is safe) from ScottBassLessons, there would be no way to criticize after hearing this:

Hadrien's Music from his latest CD offers a lot of new sonority ideas that could take some time for some musicians to "digest" it.
Anyway, I'm FLABBERGASTED that ANY MUSICIAN could call Hadrien's Music "AWFUL" or "I dont think I could listen much to the vocals."
(Even if that musician plays the 6-string bass.)

Your album, "Born in the 80's" is full of MUSIC, recorded by the Superb, world class Musicians, filled with opulent harmonic sonority and intricately-lyrical melodies.

P.S. I understand those TB members who just picked up the bass guitar after listening to Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" (a very catchy Pop song)
- "Born in the 80's" with its plethora of complex melodic phrasing (that are not acoustically present/found in the "All About That Bass" song), rich harmonic structure, orchestration, and rhythmic complexities could be a little bit overwhelming at first.

And you are so true Saulius , talking about "trolls " , it's so strange that these people forget to include some of their personally-played musical videos, clips , mp3 ... their "best" !

Hadrien, your music is fantastic and so is your playing. You are redefining bass...and u am D finitely a fan. "Rhapdody in Blue"... Your second solo....unreal. Can't wait to hear the new album now that I know its out!!! Wish you would come to nashville, because I know you will nver wind up in muscle shoalsAL....love seeing the " haters" and "trolls"... They just can't understand what it took to get you where you are and what it will take for you to keep propelling bass playing. Thanks for your contribution to our art form and instrument!!!!!!

Anyways, Bro, you're allowed to have your own tastes ofcourse. But check this out, 1) my getto side will tell you to go.. "Sit down somewhere" to remain polite. 2) please, don't be stupid and use words such as " awefull" about my playing. Because this is only your opinion and prolly also a bit of anger because I blew you off and didnt remember you on FB or somethin.. Lol
Okay, now about my ego, you are RIGHT! Check this out: now you said what you said, we are going to meet one day and JAM, you and me only because obviously you ain't a pussy right ? . Nope you aint! It is going to be videotaped too. Lemme tell you my man, you better come up with 1) a good timing 2) great ears 3) a lot of musicality. Because I am going to go straight for the juggular on those 3, you may wana start practicing now if you think you lack it " a bit" because when I repost the footage on this very website, the only thing left for you to do will be signing OUT. This is appliable to all the other potential trolls by the way. I NEVER EVER was a troll in my life, including when I did not know any notes or scales on the neck yet. As to buy my CD, I do not need people like you to buy my music. Do you think people need your advice to love or not love music? who are you to allow you this kind of what you are saying?

LOL I can't wait for that video. There aren't too many bass players in the world at this point, who can keep up with you, Hadrien. I've seen you destroy ( probably unintentional) even some really well known and respected bassists on youtube videos from the NAMM show mainly. (one 6 string fretless player who shall go nameless comes to mind )
I do love it whenever you post something with Frederico Malaman. I can tell that both of you guys have a sense of humor and you like each other. That really comes out in the music.
So don't let the trolls get to you.....do your thing, the bass world is a better place because of you!
