Hadrien Feraud: new cd !

Ok Guys, hadferaud84 is me for real. "Hadrien feraud" or mattgally or watever else wasn't. At this point I m not even sure weither or not it s somebody from my own family,lol I can't manage to find out when I ask, they wont tell me anyways..
I do hate free negative criticism tho, especially when it's done by people who arent quite the same level. When I have time, I can barely tolerate it, I admit, I'm not the arrogant selfabsorbed guy you thought I was thru those fake accounts, I m a nice, genuine, pretty easy going person but I have a propention to turn getto when I m being poopie talked on, simply because I never ever poopie talked on someone who knew more than I did/do NO MATTER if I dig a style or not. When I dont dig, I dont tell, unless I m being asked to give my opinion. That was my only point. When you critisize, be constructive, expose the bad, but also the good to help someone out. If you just gona slice a mothershager into pieces then it's not cool and be prepared for the strike back... Eh.. Makes sens no?

If I may give you a suggestion, do not engage people you feel are critical of you. I understand this is difficult but this type of stuff should be beneath an artist of your caliber. If anything your acknowledgement of such criticisms give more weight to it. Be the bigger person.
Lastly, @Bryan R. Tyler are these not all the same IP? I'm getting confused here...

This may be a slight bit of de-rail but maybe you could shed some light on how the whole IP thing works to a borderline Luddite (my phone still flips open.)
Is the IP strictly based on your internet connections location or is it tied to your computer/device? For example, I'm currently at the university but I often post from home, would this change my IP? Alternatively, if I posted from home on my computer and smart phone would they have the same IP? How does DNS play into all of this? I know what it stands for but I really do not get what it does or how it works.

There's a lot to it; some companies recycle IPs so you can get matches from different members in totally different locations, others leave an exact match, and it's tied to the way you access the internet, not the device itself (that's where cookie matching comes in).. This isn't really the place to go into it all- here's a link though that explains most of the basics:

This is not a criticism of your playing. I'm a big fan of what you do, and I also enjoyed your recent album a lot. This is also not a criticism of you voicing your opinion about what others think of your playing and music.
This is the same advice I give to my students when they are caught red-handed cheating on assignments and tests. Their first reaction is typically some variation of what you're offering above: "I'm not the kind of person who cheats", "I'm an honest person", etc. This is truly bizarre to me since an attempt at creating a bubble of what is obviously nonsense is made. What really gets me is that all participants of the conversation know that it's complete BS, and therefore the situation shouldn't exist at all. The student knows he cheated, and I know he cheated. So he should just drop it.
My response to them is harsh but also extremely useful, if taken in:
"If you don't want to be called a cheater, don't cheat. Otherwise, just own up to it. If you're "cool enough" to cheat on a test, you should be "cool enough" to take what's coming when you get caught."
"If you don't want to seem arrogant and self-absorbed to others, don't act like you're arrogant and self-absorbed."
Some get the point and progress, others keep denying reality (which they are free to do, of course). The latter cases always end in trainwrecks; entertaining and sad to watch at the same time.
The issue here isn't that we're in doubt that it's really you - it's that we are all pretty certain that it's been you all along, fake accounts and all, for several years. All things point to those being you: IP's, spelling, punctuation, grammar, log-on and log-off times, vested interests, etc.
I'm looking forward to digging your playing for many years to come, I just hope you can make the right choices to ensure that that happens.

Plenty of eccentric people are not rude. Talent is not an excuse for rude behaviour contrary to what popular media may have you think. In addition to that, you cannot engage people in a discussion about behaviour and not expect them to offer opinions.
Because he is a supremely talented bassist who has had some supremely talented mentors? Why do you ask - when did I imply that he was a bad musician?
Sure...but what does that have to do with anything I said? I'm not talking about eccentricity, I'm talking about creating a bad name for yourself. Jeff Berlin is known as an eccentric, because he has a massive ego and he doesn't like metronomes. There's nothing eccentric about talking to yourself via fake accounts, and thinking that you're smarter than everyone else and that we're all falling for the puppet act. That's just sad, and potentially a tell-tale sign of a disorder.
You do realize that he didn't have to, right? Like I didn't ask you to communicate with me, but you're doing it anyway. I'm allowed to give advice to someone without being asked to give it. And that person is free to ignore it.
Like I said, he's free to cultivate his reputation for talking to and about himself all he wants - I'm just letting him know that we can see what he's doing. My personal opinion is that it would be cooler to avoid having to attach a qualifier to his name when I'm mentioning him to friends and fellow musicians. "GREAT musician, but he likes talking to himself..."

I have NEVER EVER seen so much PERSONAL attacks against Hadrien here, at TB from, more or less, good and civilized TB members/bass players.
What's more, I've received quite a few nasty PM's just by expressing my opinion about Hadrien.
Your last comment/posting reminds me of a person who just watched a very short excerpt from some long and intricate Movie and starts making a very profound and personal opinion about it.

Could you please refer to the personal attacks Hadrien received? I have only seem him attacking other members, none of which was called for. I am actually surprised that anybody would defend his behaviour let alone seem to think it is laudable.
Again.... It wasnt me. Its was a family member, I know now. This whole time I wasnt even aware of it, the first msg I sent a month ago signing in under hadrienferaud84 was when a friend of mine told me about it. This is the last time I tell you, if you dont believe it, so be it, nobody s gona die after all.

For your info, I have been living in LA for the past 6 years...Obviously my english is slightly better than the person writing in my name even when I wasnt living in the US YET,, and about the log on times, that would mean that I would only log on to this site when I m back in france?
