Hagstrom Viking replacement tuners (ultralight)

Hey guys,

I'de like to replace the stock tuners on my Hagstrom Viking with ultralight tuners to get rid of the neck dive. Any suggestions?

My local luthier (http://www.luthier-gringhuis.be) upgraded the electronics (wiring, pots, input jack, caps, Gibson style PU selector and 2 mini toggle switches for each PU (hum or sc). The original 6-way selector died after 2 weeks. I got rid of all the cheap parts and upgraded it to "roadworthy" ;-).

It's a killer bass, but the neckdive is an issue for me when playing long live sets.

How about a picture of the current tuners?

If they are like the below tuners, it looks like Hipshot Ultralites are probably the way to go.

They come in two general sizes; 1/2" and 3/8".

Contact them with questions, they are very easy to deal with.

Yes: they are the same. I'm going for 3/8" hipshots in black.
thanks
