HAIL SATAN!

i assume it's crossed your mind that you're offending odin, zeus, ra, quetzacoatl, and my limited tolerance for Pascal's wager arguments by acting as if a hell (like, anyone's hell - i'mma assume yours is a christian hell) is real.

the actual biggest mistake of your life would be living in fear of mythology that can't hurt you, but sure as heck can make you abdicate your responsibility to care for your fellows and waste a lot of time thinking about stuff that isn't relevant to real-world problems.
Yeah, but after listening to the demos I probably won't get one because my swollen pickle does basically the same things.

Pentagrams all depend on context, it's been used as a symbol a bazillion different ways. Used all over the place in the wiccan religion for example, was used in christianity even.

True modern day satanists believe in free will while not harming others, not evil.

As for the pedals, meh. Just another overpriced clone. Give him credit for trying a different marketing hook though.

Holy hell can we just talk about the functionality of the pedals? If you are offended by them, why would you even enter the thread? The name is in the title! Conversely, if you are offended by someone being offended, I'd like to introduce you to a kettle. If I want to know anybody's religious views, or lack thereof or disdain for, I wouldn't be in the effects section of music website. With that said, allow me to be hypocritical and tell you my opinion since they are being spouted off:

If you think being a Christian and having tattoos are mutually exclusive, you're a nut. I check both boxes. But then again, many people in many religions are practicing extremists with wacky ideologies. Same goes for many agnostics and atheists. I haven't heard many people complaining about the "Fu$&" overdrive, or the "Big Muff", or "Swollen Pickle", etc. Its just a name. Nothing wrong with not liking it or thinking its in poor taste. Ignore and move on. Nobody wants to hear your opinion unless asked, and I didn't see anyone ask for opinions on the family values of the aesthetics. Did I miss that? Going out of your way to let everyone know you are holier is not very Christian, and antagonizing Christians to show how anti-God you are is just as pathetic.

To stay on topic, they all look pretty much like run of the mill clones that I wouldn't waste my time or money on, except for the Rat clone, which I am an admitted sucker for. And the graphics aren't even evil on that one, so wow, that's a bonus I guess. Prices seem decent, but I don't see me springing for one anytime soon.

Whatever your beliefs are, the guy certainly knows how to get everyone to notice his pedals....

Personally, even if they sounded amazing I'd sand the paint off. My guess is if the product could stand on it's own, the graphics wouldn't be needed....

A pedal's a pedal. They're doing it all in good humor similar to Gwar or Green Jello. If you take these things that serious, stick to your sheltered life
If it gave me the tone I wanted, I'd buy it, use it, and not care what was on it.

As for Satanism, I don't think many of you know what TRUE Satanism actually is. It deals more with nature and individualism. There are no gods with LeVeyan Satanism (or Modern Satanism). Satan (the figure) is more of a physical anti-religion figure for Satanism as opposed to a deity to worship.

I've never tried one of these pedals, but I'll say this about the controversy over the paint jobs.

1. Many of you find them goofy and juvenile, and I can respect that. I personally enjoy them on a campy, horror-comic level.

2. For those of you who find them offensive on a religious level, your comments would be better suited to the Lobby.

I couldn't care less who they offend, quite honestly. I just don't see the point of alienating what could be potential client base for the sake of a cheap attention ploy.

We all agree, the pedals themselves really aren't anything special, right? So how do you make money selling something, that at the end of the day isn't any different than anything else on the market? You concoct a marketable gimmick, whatever it may be, just to get noticed in the crowd. Looks like this builder found a way to do that, we're all talking about him. He's making a few bucks and having a good time doing it, that's what life is all about, more power to him for doing something he loves doing.

Yeah, it's a gimmick, but then again so is every other pedal brand out there. There is only so many ways to get transistors to phase shift, clip, etc at the end of the day, everything else is just marketing. Don't get me started on ZVex.

Absolutely. Its pretty dumb. What it has to do with the actual function of the pedals, I have no idea. And kudos to you sir for knowing the difference between "couldn't" and "could".

They are targeting a niche market, and it ain't christians.
Honestly, religious people that can't keep their opinions to themselves are a great marketing tool for this company. In the same way they sold rock & roll in the 60's...your parents hate it, so it's gotta be good! If christians hate something, that's the direction you wanna go in.
