Half Rounds?

Brite Flats are GHS ground wounds - rounds ground down to a flat finish, rather than wound under pressure to have an elliptical winding cross-section, like Pressure Wounds. So in theory, they should be like the Half Wounds, but my guess is materials and process details are sufficiently different to produce a very different result.

GHS "medium scale" = 35.5" from ball to taper/silk = not long enough for the standard 34" scale Fenders.

No issue with any of the GHS "long plus" strings (38" winding) on Fenders even when the full winding wraps around the tuner post.

Wrong. Measure from bridge to nut. I have these on my Am. Perf. Pbass. So 100% they fit like strings used to fit until the dumass String OEM decided to lengthen the Standard winding length. There is a hair past the nut.

One of the mysteries of life is why I can't get along with D'addario Half Rounds but love GHS Brite Flats. In theory, a similar product. In practice, chalk and cheese.

I think much like, why someone might like D'Addario XL nickels but not GHS Bass Boomers, or vice-versa. Subtle differences in construction, and in the case of Brite Flats, even a different kind of metal on the winding which offers a different tone through the pickups.
