Hand painted basses with re-shaped headstock

Sooooo...HERE WE GO!

I'm sure it's just me, but I like this one MUCH better as a bass than the circular one... but Awesome work dude, on all counts.

Subscribed. I thought of doing something like that... my friend's father is a really famous painter here in Brazil, and I'd like to strip the poly finish off my Fretless Geddy and have him paint it... for a small fee. But I would need the help of an experienced luthier, which is something hard to find here in northeastern Brazil.
The process is easy enough with the right materials.

It's no problem to walk you through it.
well done on the router table and headstock templates; that looks clever.

very cool work
I picked that idea up at both Rereanch and TDPRI.
Very cool! Very cool indeed!
Thanks!

Brad, no matter which forum you post the bass in, it is still awesome looking guitars.
Lon, it's a pleasure to see you here!
If you somehow made that headstock a bottle opener as well, i think you'd be on to something...

in all seriousness, you do nice work!

Thanks mang!
Totally not my style, yet I love it. Very well done.
That's actually quite a compliment!

dude these are beautiful
Those are AMAZING. Seriously, I'd buy one. A christmas present to myself. Subscribed. I'd love to rock one of those up in Seattle. As soon as you start selling them, lemmie know!
Will do!

At this point this is more of a hobby, but I hope it can grow into a nice little side business in the next year or two.
I really dig the can-opener style headstock.
Thanks, I think it kind of grows on you!

:DVery nice....!!!:hyper::bassist::bassist::bassist:
Thanks!
the green strat? is by far my favorite of the bunch, but theyre all really sweet
Funny...I was the LEAST happy with that one, probably because it was the first one I finished.

I'm curious...does anyone know a builder who does custom bodies stateside?

The big shops are all CNC, and I'm too small to get even the smaller guy's attention.

I may end up routing my own bodies, but...UGH...the time it takes!!!
