Between the 12 hours it takes for Steve to build 'em and the 30 hours it takes me to transform 'em, I'd say that is pretty darn handbuilt!

By the way JBossolo, is your custom build bass a replica of an Carl Thompson bass? Looks amazing, I love it!
Nope. Had never even seen a Carl Thompson in my life when I commisioned this build. I can see the resemblace, though. Thx for the compliments.

Ghehe, well a funny coincidence my SD Curlee MUST be mostly handmade because it seems no two Curlees have equal measurements.
I'll let you know once I get it, should be done in about 1 month.
Scott makes a fine product, but it's a small shop, only 4 guys, including him.
If I ever take the plunge it's going to be one from Cliff Bordwell. I love his stuff and seeing the examples here makes it all the more tempting!
