hanging bass on wall hook

Been doing it 5+ years now. No issues. Have a mounting board connected to studs or put the hanger on studs. As mentioned before, watch your nitro finishes. Several hangers out there that don’t react. I use the Hercules ones that lock the bass in with the weight of the bass. Backlight them for effect.

And here is a pic of nitro burn from a hanger on my 3k fender CS p bass, whats the nitro burn got to do with the op's topic? Burn is burn hanger or stand....
I had a similar issue with a CS p bass.Despite having nitro finish on all my basses I had never experienced nitro burn until it happened to one bass. I now cover the arms and bottoms of all my hangers and stands with clear plastic tubing cut down the middle to easily fit over the foam.Haven't had a problem since.....fingers crossed......
