Harley Benton BA500H

Yeah, actually I had to return it for repairs after 3 weeks. The problem was similar to problems identified with the Ibanez Promethean, it took 15-90 seconds for it to power up after switching it on. They changed the power supply and it has been working fine since then. Thomann refunded the shipping cost and the support was excellent.
Thanks for quick reply.

You wrote it could even compete with a fully cranked 300W tube head ?? That sounds promising and seems more volume than I need. I've got a 212 with two Eminence Deltalite II. As I also want to use it for my EUB I am rather looking for a natural sound with a lot of headroom. I guess I'll give the BA500H a try.

I've tried it at home with 2 Ampeg 410's (8 ohms each)@500W, at a gig using a single EBS 115(4 ohms)@500W, at practice using 1 Ampeg 410(8 ohms)@250W or 1 EBS 115(4 ohms)@500W. Naturally, 2 x 410's are louder than a single 115, regardless of which head I'm using.

A rig of 2x410 size is what I try to avoid. I try to keep everything as small and portable as possible. For most of my bar gigs my MarkBass mini CMD 121p is all I need. For OpenAir I sometimes want a little bit more low end. I guess my FMC 212 Neo L will do the job.

I just hit the trigger and ordered one (248€). Next weekend I will use it for rehearsal with my bands (12piece RnB/Motown + Jazz Sextett, EUB) and will post more results here.
