Hartke 2200 pro tweeter blown

So I just got a hartke 2200 pro. 2x12 cab very cheap.
It really is a great sounding cab, but the tweeter doesn't work.
I don't know if I will want to use it but I do want it working.

It is a selenium DT150 8ohms, replacement cost is only about $30.00. Here is a description of it:

so since I am going to replace it is there a better tweeter I should look at, or should I just get the same one?

Check to see if the cab has a lightbulb fuse mounted on the crossover and check to make sure it's not blown before you buy another tweeter . If that's all right this driver is a good upgrade from the DT150 and it will screw right on that Selenium horn .

As far as I can tell you can't just buy the driver for that DT150 tweeter and you have to buy the whole assembly . The Eminence has a larger voice coil and can handle more abuse and sound smoother .

thank for the info, It is driver that is blown for sure, fuse is good, I hooked a small computer speaker up to the leads and I get a hissing sound, which I can control with the high freq knob on the back of the cab. With the old driver I get nothing at all.

any other suggestions for a replacement?

Here's another good one . I have this one in a Dr Bass 310 neo cabinet on a B&C horn with a 1600Hz crossover and it sounds great . The Hartke is crossed over quite a bit higher than that so this driver should have no trouble in your cabinet and this is a very well respected driver . These are the two best inexpensive drivers I know of that would be an upgrade to the DT150 .

I also have a pair of these drivers on the same Selenium horn as your Hartke has in a pair of 112 floor monitors and they sound great for that too crossed over at 1200Hz .
