I've been curious about this as well. I have a pair of the HX 112s and love them. Only problem I have is the Tolex rips very easily.
- Is there any difference other than the color of the Hartke HD112 from the HX112 hydrive cabs?

The HD's have a Ferrite magnet vs. Neo
The HD's paper cone has been reinforced with Kevlar vs paper alone
The HD's have a steel chassis vs. aluminum
The HD's = 50Hz–17kHz vs. 30Hz–17kHz frequency response (10" speakers)
The HD's = 35Hz–17kHz vs. 41Hz–17kHz frequency response (12" speaker)
The Hd's = 45Hz–17kHz vs. 20Hz–17kHz frequency response (15" speaker)
Well I just pulled the trigger on one hd112..should get it this week... hopefully get to try it out this weekend..
