Hartke HX5210C - Anyone got one?

Hey,

On my ever increasing wish list to try, I have a Hartke Hydrive HX5210C Combo (The one with the LH500 head and 2x10" config.), and no where in this huge town has one that I can get my hands on.

Has anyone got one, or has at least plugged one in to see what they are like? Any Pros/Cons?

I'm currently running the Eden Nemesis 200w Bass Combo with the 2x10's, and its just not pushing through the wall of guitar sound. I'm looking for options based on budget and the size of my car boot, and the 2x10 combos seem to fit into these categories.

Thanks in advance.

Run your rig thru the PA and monitors also to get a better audible volume in the mix. Save your money for rent and gas, bigger is not always better. Geddy Lee uses this approach and it works out well.
I stopped competing with arrogant guitarists long ago. The louder you get the louder they get and the music becomes a recipe for ear damage. If they cant hear me they're too loud.

Thanks for your reply Vakmere. Its not a matter of volume. Its more a matter of clarity. I have tried numerous times to get the mix right, and it still sounds like mud.
This seems to only happen when I'm pushing the amp up to its limit, so my reasoning is to up the power more so I can have more control over my tone when the amp is really working hard.
Thats the theory. Whether it works or not, I haven't tried it.

What kind of bass do you have? Or get one of these.........

I just picked up a 5210c off of craigslist right before Christmas. Before, I was using a Kickback Combo with a 1x10. The 5210c was a huge upgrade. It was much louder and very clear (some may say too clear, but screw those people). Makes my Pre EB Sabre shine!!! I really like the aluminum and paper cones on these things; it's like best of both worlds. My fuzzes and various other effects sound awesome through this.

Gees Vakmere! That rig would eat the 5210 as entree...
At the moment I'm just using a Legend jazz bass (nothing special) and an Aria Pro II Magna Series 5 string. I'm saving my dollars now though to upgrade to a Warwick.

Thanks for the imput MysterMunky. I haven't found too many people so far that own one. I'm guessing they are a bit of an inbetween amp, in that its not a practice amp or really a huge stage amp. I think its got a lot of potential from what I have read so far. What did you pay for yours?
