HARTKE LH1000 NOISE.

I BELIEVE I FINALLY NAILED THIS NOISE DOWN TO THE LH1000.
I REPLACED THE TUBE STILL NO DIFFERENCE, (ITS NOT THE BASSES,OR CABINETS OR CABLES) BUT I NOTICE THAT WHEN I ADJUST THE VOLUME KNOB IT MAKES CRACKLY(?) NOISE I CAN WIGGLE IT AND I GET NOISE. AT THIS POINT I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD GET IT FIXED OR REPLACE IT,ANY INSIGHT?

Yup, or entirely new and more messy problems can be created.

I suspect there is more to this problem though...

Well it only takes a tiny squirt into the hole directly into the pot. Not talking about using half a can. If that doesn’t do it might be time for a service technician.

Less is more, but try telling it to those who think DeOxit is magic cure-all spray. The word TINY doesn't seem to translate well, and frankly DeOxit doesn't either since I see units where somebody thought that all magic cure-all sprays were "DeOxits". Replacing a complete set of pots and cleaning up the can get pretty expensive, often more than the original repair would have been.

Hey, I was just trying to help. It could possibly be a quick fix. I have that same amp and it worked for me. If someone doesn’t know enough to use the product properly then by all means they should take it somewhere to have it serviced.

You might be shocked at the number of repair attempts that end up in more damage than the original problem, including an amp that becomes unrepairable.

I took it to repair center. 3 weeks at least.
Thank God never got rid of the fender rumble.
