Tony Levin is a bass god! not only does he look cool playing the bass and the Chapman Stick, he also looks cool with an ice cream cone at the NAMM show.

His fretting hand "technique" reminds me of the 14 year old I used to give bass lessons to. He'd started playing in bands right after picking up bass (it was also his first instrument.) I tried to get him to practice to force his fretting hand into a reasonable position but he was too lazy.

I actually like the riff they're playing, by the way. :hiding:

I can understand if you don't like Cheap Trick. I can get my head around the fact that everyone has their own definition of cool. But, what exactly about Tom Petersson makes him look like a perv? Is it because he's wearing a suit? Is it the glasses? Is it because he's over fifty and playing bass on stage? I don't understand.:confused:

Some people just don't get it. A cool musician playing a rockin' 12 string bass (Tom Petersson) or some nerd playing a 6 string with a black turtle neck. EEEWWW!

Probably a Jazz head! Ha ha!!

I have a couple, they are great basses, amazing tone, harder to play than a 4 string (real men play 12 string bass anyway!;) and look cool too.

I just pay a luthier buddy of mine to change the strings twice a year, it's worth it to me.
