I've found a few threads of the regular stealth but none of the pro version. for those that have played it how was it? Is it worth the price? and if you've played both how does it compare to the less expensive one? and if its not worth the price then is there something in that price range that you'd recommend instead?

Has anyone ever tried a Schecter Stiletto Stealth Pro?

I recently ordered a pro version, four string from Zzounds. It had unbelievably sharp fret ends, some finish blemishes, and the tuner nuts were so loose that it had damaged the finish. The pickup screws were misaligned and the screws were not in straight. They were kind of diagonal. The fret level was actually really good. I returned it. For reference I have a diamond series model T, which is one of the best basses I own and smokes any fender I have ever played. They were both South Korean made. I’ve heard there are some quality control issues recently.

I had one for a short time. I enjoyed it. I felt like it was built well enough though I think its it very diffemert from the regular model. Definitely not worth over $1000 more imo.
I returned it because of aesthetics. I liked the all black, bur it got marked up so easly. Especially slapping. I put Shiney spots in it it like 2 days. Not happy. It's sounded great though. One of the better sounding stock instruments I've owned.

While I do have a '24 Schecter Stiletto, it's not a Stealth model. It's a left-handed Studio-4FL lined fretless. But, other than the finish; the Ebony fingerboard; and the lack of frets? Pretty similar to the Stealth Pro. If you read the specs, the Pro model is a very different bass when compared to the regular model. Laminate neck-thru vs. bolt on neck; different body wood; and so forth. So, yeah; the Pro is more expensive. However... if you look at their website? Schecter has marked their prices down - considerably. Their current price of $1399 for the Stealth Pro (the 4 string model) is pretty reasonable, IMO. That's how much I paid for mine, and I think I got a lot more than my money's worth... 
ps. As for shiny spots on the finish? Welcome to the world of Flat Finishes. I can't think of a single bass- or guitar - with a flat finish that Doesn't get them. Not one. The only question is - how fast will they appear? Every single one of mine has them; it's just the way they are...

Still retains the stupid saddle locking screws that are a pain in the proverbial to get to.. that's a downer.
I would've thought they'd advanced from that by now...
The only positive I can see is It looks like it's done away with those horrid EMG pickups and preamp..
Still, not enough to make me want to own another Schecter. The last one was an utter lemon.

I know this post is a few months old, but I’m newly intrigued by Schecter’s Stealth Pro EX 4-string. I would set it up for DGCF with that 35” scale (I have BEAD covered via 5-string now—plus was a DGCF player early on, so I don’t have any questions about the merits of DGCF or 35” scale).
I see some folks mention quality issues in a few cases, plus one B stock on an auction with delamination issues, but if those are just an unlucky few, seems low risk if bought new, per return policy/warranty, assuming it arrives without issue. I wonder if their neck-through models are usually GTG over time. Any insight out there? Thanks in advance.

Funny I literally just saw that b stock stock one with delamination right before coming to this page to get some info lol. Crazy. I walked into guitar center earlier today to look for a backup bass bc my ernie ball bass is in the shop getting a ton of work done bc the the preamp failed after 31 years (i haven't own it that long but it's a 94') and I've got several gigs coming up the next few days for new years eve etc....grabbed just about every bass off the wall within reach to try really quickly just to see what's worth getting at budget. Last bass I grabbed was the standard stealth 4 string schecter. Never played one before but I did own a 5 string hellraiser for years that I sold and it was prestine. Zero issues and stupid low action. Got out of playing heavy rock music and now I'm in a trio that plays classic rock, blues and country etc. As soon as I grabbed the stealth I was like holy crap this thing is thin and light. What sucked was....they never set up the neck, and the strings were literally ALL LAYING AGAINST THE FRET BOARD
. The dude from GC walked by and I said man this bass needs a set up bad, look it doesn't even play. He laughed and said, yeah schecter always sends them like that. I was thinking dang dude someone here should've set this bass up for me bc I would've bought it. I told him i liked it and he walked away. I was able to plug it in and play some scales above the 12th fret and i could tell the fretboard was fast and smooth. Stupid GC needs to get it together man. Only takes a little time to set up a bass. At least get it playable before you hang it on the freaking wall! Anyways. Im thinking about ordering on from sweetwater but I'm waiting for the new sire z3 stingray copy to get back in stock since I already have a real one and I'm used to it. Either would make a great backup bass. Wish I could've actually grooved the stealth first

The Hellraiser and Evil Twin 4’s look good, but the Pro Ex’s 35” scale and neck-through are of interest in this case. Would want to not miss out in case that model will be discontinued.
It seems that in recent locations, Japan and Europe, the shops make a point of preparing instruments for display, i.e. as if their reputation is at stake. It must not really be a problem at GC, otherwise they’d be all over it.

Batteries lasted forever. it stayed in tune. Had a very powerful sound. Blend back a little to the rear pickup and it would punch through a wall like any jazz bass but with more bass from the humbucker. I mean it was fantastic all around. Honestly I should have kept it.

Hello everyone, late to the party but I just tried the standard stiletto stealth 4 at a guitar center today. What a great body contour, similar to my beloved P/J. Instantly in love until my right hand let me know the neck pickup is WAY too close for my style. Maybe some who uses a pick or doesn't need the room between the neck and pickup.
I really really wanted to love this bass after feeling the body fit compared to my C4-GT, which fits me poorly.

Slow thread… thanks for the info in the recent posts, helpful! Obviously this is probably a niche product but obviously they are out there, and it can take time and asking specific questions to gather info. Looks like a good option, likely to pursue one after I clear some space.
Just bought one, 4 strings. B stock. Tomorrow it goes to a luthier to check out if the setup can be done; the setup is awful and the upper part of the neck is bent quite a lot.
It plays great on the upper 4 frets and sounds very nice with such a poor setup.
I hope it is a good one. I really do I really hope I can keep it.
If you like playing fast, the neck is very good.
My Yamaha BB NE-2 can do everything without exaggeration. Everything.
But this Spector is better at hard music.

The preamp is very good with the internal switches .
Made for aggression but can be very vintage if you know how to use the preamp.
The amount of gain the preamp feed in your distortion or boost pedals is great.
Focused and dry, not boomy. It excels in that triad.
Great value for money.
