has anyone here tried the "Light Snake"

Its kinda cool to be able just to record by just connecting the cable to the computer. The cable works great PC, but with my mac I get a lot of noise. I wanted to know if someone has used this cable with a mac (using garage band) or if you know about other recording software for mac would be great also! thanks!

I have read a lot of bad reviews, most of which deal with noise. One person said it even recorded the LED's clicking on and off.
