Has anyone played an Italia Mondial?

I think it looks fantastic but haven't heard of it EVER before. Anyone get the chance to play one of these beauties?

Most of those Italias are pretty swanky, no? Never seen one in the flesh though.

The only Italia I've ever gotten hands on was a blue sparkle solid body Maranello. Cool bass that played pretty well, but had a rather chunky neck, and it was quite heavy. The semi hollows may be lighter though.

I used to have a Mondial. Good, solid bass, great looks. Neck is chunky, and I prefer a short scale, so I sold it. Nice bass!

jammed on one i gotta say i hate the look of em though they look like there made out of bakalite or something
it played well though it feels very solid and i must say the sound isnt bad either which shocked me as i really wanted to hate it

there is one for sale in my area dont know if its still around,it is green sparkled and autographed I think by the bassist in David Lettermans housband with documentation,to bad this signature doesnt really help the value to my thinking but it is what it is

Haven't played one. I like the look... I favor weirder basses... but the reviews are not encouraging.

I've played a few Italias. They do look nice but to me they felt a bit like toys. Nice fat sound though.
