Has anyone put a pick guard on an L2000?

I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that a G&L L2k is EXACTLY what i want. But, stupid and irrational as it may be, i can't get into it's 'naked' look. Has anyone put a pick guard on one?

I know i'll do something dumb like 'settle' for an HH Ray or a T40 JUST because i like the way it looks better :hmm:

again... i'm fully aware of how rediculous this is...

I dont think its ridiculous at all. The only ones Ive ever seen on a G&L were clear and I think in Japan or somewhere. I googled it and thats all I came up with. I would love to get a nice pickguard for my L2500 just to snazz it up. You could always have one made by someone like Pickguardian, but Im not sure how you would go about getting the dimensions without sending the bass to him.

I was totally thinking more along the lines of a custom job. If i'd be happy with the end result, i don't think it'd be TOO big a deal to send the body to them (or another pick guard fabricator).

Fun with photoshop:

IMO the "naked" look as you put it is much classier than the look with a pickguard, pickguards have always signaled lower quality to me.
