Has Fender used two different necks for the American Pro II's?

I've played some older, used American Pro II basses where the neck seemed pretty similar to my American Pro I bass. But I've played others that might be newer, and there are rounded edges and the satin finish feels higher quality. Maybe they used up older stock of American Pro I necks on the first run of American Pro II basses?

Is this something I'm completely making up, or did Fender change the necks on the Pro II's, maybe around 2022 or something?

Yep. My 2015 AmStd Jazz had rounded edges.

The rounded edges started with the American Series in 2000. It was a selling point in their marketing called "rolled edges". The sweet spot (for me) is the Am Std from 2012 until 2017 when the Pro I came out. Every one I've ever picked up had a slimmer, faster feel overall than anything since. The Pro I felt ok but I thought the finish on them was kind of washed out and lacking character. I was uninspired by the Pro I. The Pro II, in my opinion, feels slightly chunkier, but still a great playing neck, and the Super-Natural satin finish looks and feels amazing.

They've had rounded edges for a looooong time, but the AmPro II edges are more rounded.
