Has Gretsch been lying to us for over a decade?

Video is up. Hoping that this gets some traction and that Fender provides a response. This is just plain wrong.

OOOOOOOO! Talk about spicy. I hope this gains momentum. Most of us that bought this bass don't have the ability to pressure FMIC on this. I dont have the finances....

Lobster, Any chance your friends out at EMG have watched your video? Perhaps.... they could help?

Great video Mr. Lobster! No punches pulled, nor should there be.

It would be worthwhile for folks to watch this video on YT, and to "like" and comment. Feed that algorithm! [Of course, y'all are subscribed. Right?]
Of course… at least I am…

I believe you will get a response. Probably chaos at corporate...someone's head will roll (or be blamed). The smart thing would be for them to bite the bullet, get the correct reason for this mishegoss... and respond with an honest answer. Too quick a response that is still misleading will hurt the company big time. Give them a few moments to make it right. Am I a fool for having some faith? Even if it's a little, teeny bit of faith?

Sadly, however this ends up getting addressed for the basses already in existence, I suspect this product just hit end of life.

Then in a few years we will have the Junior Jet III …. now with 2 single coils and snazzy new finishes.

And sadly they will probably be annoyingly sized so you cannot replace them with different pickups.

Oddly enough... If the Junior Jet III has dc35/EMG35 sized pickups I'd probably buy one....

Just saw the video on YouTube and wanted to say "Thank You!!" to Lobster for performing this public service. No company, regardless of reputation or size, should deceive their customers. They need to get called on it.

Is LowEndLobster the "Ralph Nader" of this generation? I say "Bravo!!" to him if he is.
RN was a bit of a sphincter and Lobster ain’t no sphincter!;)

Yours is older. Any chance you can get some of that paper or check to see if you have two bridge pups?

The only Gretsch I have in that particular series is a custom and has Thundertrons in place of the original pickups. (I have a Bronco bass with an original 90's 2202 pickup, but that doesn't count either.

Yes, that is true.

Though, back in the early 70's Nader was a bit of a hero to most of us college kids for standing up to and exposing the sins of a giant corporation, and that was before he became known later as how you describe him.

Lobster is my hero today for doing the exact same thing. Standing up and exposing where corporate sins need exposing.
