I used to use Marcus Miller sig set for years. Went to Hi Beams for a few years, recently decided I missed the "fat beam" sound. The MM sets (3) I have tried recently seem to have a lot more tension then I remember, much closer to Lo Riders then Hi Beams. GC was out of 4 string packs last time so I got a 5 string set and I swear they are different then the 4's, not as much tension and a different texture, much easier for me to play. I'm wondering if the 5 string sets are slow movers in my area and therefore old stock and possibly different???
