Have we all been tricked!?

with regards to wood types and fretboard materials, i think the choices are just as much to do with playability as they are tone.

if i were to choose fretboard, i would go with ebony because it feels great to play on.

for body, i'd choose something like ash because of its lighter weight.

i've not tried 'roasted' so haven't bought into its tonal qualities, but i suspect that any upgrades in tone are more subtle than pickup and string choices.
