yes! lol! and I kick myself in the butt for not keeping pen and paper by the bed. I tend to "write" good songs before falling asleep..I mean RIGHT before but never can while awake!

I tend to get a lot of musical ideas while I'm just beginning to fall asleep. And I always think I should get up and figure them out before I forget them. But I'm usually too tired, so I have to convince myself that whatever I was thinking of sucked so I can get some sleep, or tell myself that I'll remember it in the morning. Then the next morning I get mad at myself for not recording my ideas because I can't remember them. You'd think I would have learned by now, but apparently I haven't. And I don't think I ever will. Sleep always wins. Its a bad cycle.

The guy who wrote about being sick I know I had that also. Only I was like 11 or 12 and it was french horns and the guitar sound and riff mastery of Tony Iommi.
