my room used to be on the ground floor of the house. the "guys" bathroom is in the basement, the "girls" bathroom is on the ground level.
every morning id wake up at 6 30 for school, walk to the old, worn out, carpeted stairs, make it down 3-7 of them, and then fall down the next 10-6. this literally happened 3-4 times a month. thats almost weekly, sometimes more than once a week.
nothing, and i mean NOTHING, in someone's daily routine should go so horribly wrong so often. there are few ordinary things that will ruin your morning like rubbing your eyes on the way to the shower and falling down the stairs.
luckily, i never seriously injured myself. just got ridiculously pissed off and then took it out on the first person i didnt like to speak to me at school.
at some point, i moved to the basement and the issue was no more. we also redid the carpet so it wasnt as slippery. i do not miss those days.
