Seen the website, but never tried one. They look like fair-quality Far East imports, not the cheapest, but still affordable. Some interesting features, like Fishman electronics and sandalwood fb.

I’ve heard of their cajons, but never played one, and I didn’t know they made basses, guitars, and ukes.

I think Rudy Sarzo was endorsing them, but that’s all I know, I think.
Never heard of them until this thread & never saw one until I followed the link in this thread to their web site. I saw fairly common looking basses there, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t great. It’s difficult to judge quality by a web site picture.
They sell a full line of their basses and guitars at a shop out here. The shop changed their hours to where they are no longer open on weekends(??), so I haven't been there lately. But they had a tech who would do frets and other types of set ups on some of them and they were pretty nice for the price. Even with the additional price for the set up ones. They didn't have any 5 string models, so that's a non-start for me, but it could be a nice mod-platform maybe.

Noodled around on the Rudy Sarzo AEB that popped up at a store in Nashville last year. Was probably one of the better AEB I played, and the looks are killer. Neck felt good and was setup nicely, but I think that was due to that particular shop having one of the best techs in town. Pickup was kind of "Meh" for me, but that sucker was loud unplugged! It almost startled me when I just plucked a string while it was still sitting in its stand lol. I think they had it for say for like $800 used back then. I probably would have bought it if it was around the $500 mark.

I know that one of the newer bands I have begun following, Liliac, are all using Sawtooth stuff, and you can even see that on the artist page someone shared earlier.
I personally have not ever played one, but they certainly look nice.

I bought one off of Amazon in 2018 for $123.52. I bought it because I wanted to see if I could gig with an ultra cheap bass, and because it was purple: https://www.sawtoothworld.com/epseriesbassguitars
It was a solid P bass. I played at church with it a couple of times, and gigged with it in my band a couple of times, and liked the way it sounds. When I took it to my tech and asked him what he thought of it, he was amazed at how good it was for how cheap it was.
I sold it because I prefer Ibanez SR necks, and it was heavier than my SR basses.
I sold it to my guitarist, because he really liked the way it sounded.
So, my summation is: It's not a Fender killer, it's not a boutique buster, it's a solid bass at a great price. It is a little neck-divey - not really noticeable while I'm playing, but in between songs. People liked the way it sounded, and were always amazed at the price. Like all basses, I recommend getting a pro set-up (if it's not something you do yourself).

I think that shop does most of their sales on ebay, so they don’t bother to open on weekends. I think they do a high volume of sales online.
I always just figured that Sawtooth was their store branded guitars - do other places sell them too? Last time I was in there, they had some for around $109, and I was not impressed, even for the price.
No, but it keeps getting them regardless. Any small shop in the East wanting to break into making electric guitars and basses, cloning Fenders seems to be the starting point. Ibanez started with that strategy - clone the big boys (Fender, Gibson, and Rickenbacker, IIRC, and it worked for them.
I bought a Sawtooth Strat for my grand-daughter and I was really shocked at the quality of the build for the lack of real money. The thing is solid, sounds really good. It is perfect for a youngster to learn on but it would never hold up to going semi-pro or beyond.
