Yup...my 40/40 looked just liked that too. It had a small chip on the back of the upper horn thanks to me leaving it leaning on the wall at the top of the basement stairs...and of course the wolf bumped it and down the stairs it went lol. Other than the dime sized chip it was fine.
Great sounding bass though and I had Roto rounds on mine. The weight was a non issue back then because it seemed average for the time...sturdy & well built. The bass player in Brownsville Station played one and used it on 'Smokin in the Boys Room'.
