Didnt Warwick make some headless basses that kind of looked like that before they started mass producing in Germany?

i love that warwick....that was the first warwick produced, hmmmm....i WANT I WANT!.....ive seen a few warwicks on ebay that are early headless modele...going at a reasonable price....it'll have to wait until after the amp thouggh

I love headless basses (and own 3: Status S2000, Hohner B2ADB, Kubicki X), and if I had the $'s to spend on any new one, it'd be the Sei, or maybe a Kingbass 32".

I see no reason why it's not technically possible, I'm just not aware of it having been done by anyone. On most healess designs, the bridge saddles aren't much different to 'standard' headed bridge saddles, with the Kubicki being the most obvious exception I've seen.

The original Status, and the ABM's, have seperate bridge and tuner assemblies which would make it more easily adaptable as a DIY project, perhaps subbing in a different bridge assembly with peizo's already in it.

You are! Isn't that great?!!?

I've seen a couple of headless basses with ABM piezo bridges, US and German custom builds. And I seem to recall, but it may be a dream, that both Status and Sei have made some custom work with piezo bridges.

That is truly an ugly and inelegant piece of headless design. Good grief people, get a decent bridge/tuner assembly. Looks like a bad, unlicenced Steinie knock off from the 80's.
Bet it'll cost a bomb too.
